Trained as a physicist of complex systems (MSc, University of Turin, 110 cum laude), with a background in machine learning, statistical modelling and agent-based simulation.

FPGA Engineer
Firmware and software for custom embedded systems in the Aerospace & Defense sector, across Artix 7, Artix UltraScale+, Kintex, Virtex UltraScale+ and Spartan 7 on VPX, XMC and VME platforms.
- Resolved a multi-channel DMA overrun throttling gigabit Ethernet throughput, restoring full-bandwidth transfer.
- Root-caused an ADC deserialization glitch during pre-deployment validation within one week, preventing a field failure.
- Designed multiboot bitstream redundancy on Virtex UltraScale+ against radiation-induced configuration upsets.
- Implemented CIC filters with polyphase decomposition as a custom VHDL IP core — from math model to Python prototype to hardware.
- Founded an in-house simulation suite for complex signals and Fourier analysis, speeding up model validation.
- Revised and enhanced the testing standards of 10+ proprietary products that go straight to the field, where they must work exactly as expected.

- Explored, processed and cleaned up to 130 GB of compressed JSON text with Python on a 256 GB RAM / 48-thread server.
